DINOSAUR (Little, Brown)

This dinosaur book (titled, what else...DINOSAUR)is done as a scrapbook by an imaginary paleontologist, chockfull of notes, and beautiful illustrations. There are fold out pages, letters and notes which detach from the book, and a nice poster in the back (one side: actual size of t.rex footprint; other side: various dinosaurs. This is probably better for someone who's beyond the "My First Dinosaur Book" stage and looking for something a little more sophisticated. Nicely done.
