KTLA's Morning Show
The channel five crew stopped by The Dinosaur Farm and did a great bit about shopping at our store. That's me, trying to look awake with KTLA morning personality Jessica Holmes.

We've had a remarkable artist transform our back room into a magical forest and she's doing the same to our main room. It looks great! If you're from out of town, ask for Dave (that's me), and I'll make sure you find all of the dinosaur goodies in the store.


TD Monthly Feature
In the video interview above, Owner David Plenn told TDmonthly Magazine he went prehistoric in 1994 after the birth of his son convinced the former musician it was time to get off the road and open a stable business. The store and website attract reptilian experts of all ages, from 4 to 4,000,000.

The Dinosaur Farm website
is devoted strictly to dinosaur things, but our retail store has a wider variety of goodies. We still get our share of local dino lovers coming in. Two of our store favorites are Connor and William, pictured here (William's on the left). Both are dressed up for Halloween '02 in their T-Rex costumes.

Not Your Ordinary Toy Store

The Dinosaur Farm: In the "real world", The Dinosaur Farm is a specialty toy and book store in South Pasadena, California, that takes great pride in calling itself "not your ordinary toy store." While we offer the staples you'd expect to find in an educational toy store (Can you say "Thomas the Tank Engine"?), we also offer unusual things that make a visit to The Dinosaur Farm a bit different than most toy stores.

Store Location: 1510 Mission St., South Pasadena, CA 91030. If you come to visit us and you're coming off of the 10 Fwy, take the Fremont exit north and DO NOT turn on Mission Road, keep going north until you hit Mission Street! Turn right on Mission Street and we'll be on the left hand side in the middle of the block. Park across the street. Call for directions if you're coming from other directions.

Store Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 10:00-6:00; Sunday 11:00-5:00; Closed Mondays. These hours may change in December.

The Dinosaur Farm Has Been Featured In

KTLA’s Morning Show just did a bit on shopping at The Dinosaur Farm.

LA Parent magazine gave us the “Best Independent Toy Store Award” for Southern California again.

ForbesTraveler.com, put The Dinosaur Farm in a list called “10 Amazing Toy Stores”, along with FAO Schwartz and other nationally recognized toy stores.

AAA Westways magazine wrote an article on The Dinosaur Farm.

Los Angeles Magazine featured us in a “Shop South Pasadena” article.

Pasadena Weekly just voted us “Best Toy Store” for the third straight year.
