Papo has become the standard by which all the other “museum” dinosaurs must be judged. Their T-rex was the talk of the dinosaur world, when it came out. Their 2012 Mr. Rex is brown, but everything else is the same. The detail is light years beyond anything else out there, the paint job is great, and – here’s the kicker – the lower jaw is movable. You get the ready-to-take-a-bite T. rex, or the just-took-a-bite T-rex, and everything in between. The pose is kind of a Charles Knight homage – walking more upright that current scientific thinking would have you believe they walked. Somehow it works, though. It stands roughly 6.75″ tall and 8.5″ long (it would be 11″, but the tail curves forward). We’re big fans of this replica, here at The Farm!
